Dynamic Energy’s Collaboration with Union College’s STEP Program
WAYNE, PA (August 24, 2022) – This summer Dynamic Energy had the opportunity to collaborate with Union College and STEP which gave our team a platform to share our passion and knowledge of the renewable industry. During our collaboration, two sessions were held that separated the age groups with one session consisting of 7th– 9th graders and one session consisting of 10th– 12th graders. All the 7th-12th grade students, in their respective sessions, spent the morning touring an operating solar site and spent the afternoon discussing solar and important construction topics like safety and environmental compliance. The 10th– 12th graders also had the opportunity to discuss career options with tips & tricks to be successful in school and beyond while the 7th– 9th graders had an opportunity to build their own solar race car and take it for a spin!
Union College Science & Technology Entry Program (STEP) is a grant-funded program led by Program Director, Kevin Trigonis and brings students together to prepare for entry into college and gives exposure to many different majors. As Kevin describes it “The Union College Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP) prepares historically underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students to enter college and increase participation in math, science, technology, health-related fields, and licensed professions.
Kevin Trigonis was quoted saying “The Dynamic Energy and STEP collaboration was very successful, and we look forward to continued collaboration opportunities with Dynamic Energy for the STEP program and possibly others with Union College”
