Energy Storage Analyst

Title: Energy Storage Analyst 

Location: Greater Philadelphia or Remote (Eastern Time Zone Preferred)

Dynamic Energy is seeking an experienced Energy Storage Analyst reporting to the Associate Director of Project Finance, to join our growing team. The Energy Storage Analyst will work directly with the sales operations and finance teams and assist with a variety of tasks in the energy storage and solar project development process. This role is a great opportunity for a candidate who has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to properly prioritize and multi-task. The team works in a hybrid setting (remote and in-person), however fully remote work is possible. This role will require you to communicate effectively, maintain focus and self-motivate. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering related discipline, or equivalent work experience  
  • Must have minimum of 2+ years in energy storage analysis experience  
  • Experience in renewable energy industry preferred 
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint 
  • Strong analytic skills and attention to detail  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop storage, solar and microgrid project models within the Commercial and Industrial business unit, which focuses on behind-the-meter energy consumers and mid-sized distribution-level front of the meter projects 
  • Utilize analytical tools and energy modeling software to evaluate solar plus storage and standalone energy storage opportunities 
  • Develop custom energy storage proposals and presentations for clients  and provide engineering support. 
  • Act as an in-house expert on energy storage value proposition 
  • Market and program research and analysis
  • Utility bill analysis  
  • Assistance with state incentive submissions and request for proposals (RFPs) 
  • Assist with M&A transaction management and asset dispositions including due diligence (data rooms/research), project documentation, transaction closing, portfolio management and other tasks directed by management. 
  • Coordinate engagement with financial institutions, tax equity investors and other capital sources 
  • Other duties as defined by organization

Marketing Director

Title: Marketing Director

Dynamic Energy’s Director of Marketing will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of innovative, comprehensive, and integrated marketing strategy and campaigns to drive sales and brand equity for the Development (rooftop/land Community Solar Development and Origination) and Commercial and Industrial Solar, Storage and EV projects.

The marketing director is the owner of the corporate brand and all marketing projects that create the foundation for growth and long-term value of the organization. This includes marketing-related functions such as including print ads, brochures, websites, trade show materials, logos, videos, digital media, social media, public relations, and events.

Should have a high level of organization and communication and must have excellent skills creating and managing timelines, project plans and working across a matrix structure.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, including but not limited brand management, digital agency, corporate marketing, social media
  • 2+ years in energy industry, ideally renewables – solar/storage
  • Management experience at the Account Executive level or higher or in-house corporate marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 2+ years experience in marketing automation with hubspot, Market, Pardot/Salesforce, or other digital marketing platform and CRM
  • Experience managing projects in a cross-functional environment, with high levels of communication and organization
  • Experience in high growth markets (ideally manufacturing or industrial tech)
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, develop and direct people to execute objectives
  • Experience developing creative briefs as required for specific products/campaigns
  • Ability to Travel up to 15%, including overnight stays
  • Excellent written and presentation skills

  • Provide marketing support for sales, agents/dealers, and employees
  • Keep abreast of key business issues and developments within the company as well as within the industry

Director of Systems

Title: Director of Systems

Dynamic Energy’s Director of Systems is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of all software integration within the Dynamic Development and Commercial and Industrial platform.

Qualifications:

  • 7 years of working experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/CS degree preferred

Key Responsibilities:

The Director owns four key areas related to Systems at Dynamic: platform strategy, IT management including cyber security, existing software integration, and technology roadmap. Experience in the renewables or energy market is a major plus.

Systems  (build, manage, productize Systems as key business differentiator)

  • Establish and manage business rules for all core Systems (hubspot, salesforce, procore, sage) for primary Business Units (C+I, Community Solar – land/rooftop)
  • Architect, integrate and manage roadmap and Systems across ‘C+I’ (commercial and industrial) business units
  • Identify and manage software versioning and deliver on best practices for existing platform.
  • Ownership of Business Intelligence software and data tracking from user level to Board-level KPI’s.
  • Identify new software and sunset existing as needed.
  • Integrate and introduce best in class predictive analytics for site and asset management.
  • Measure costs reductions by way of integrating and augmenting systems.
  • Vendor management, license negotiation, oversee development partner including but not limited to feature requests/spec, bug management.
  • Identify, test and integrate new tools to improve project velocity from origination to maintenance.
  • Maintain, productize and rollout development initiatives.

Operational IT

  • Develop best onboarding experience, handoff to corporate procurement.
  • Cyber management

Product

  • Manage Chargelab (EV systems and rollout operating center).
  • Establish and rollout storage software/analytics systems.

Management

  • Present Systems, roadmap and delivery to CEO/Founder and Management Committee (COO, CFO, GC, CDO and Pattern execs) monthly
  • Hire and maintain budget and growth plan.

VP Business Development

Title: VP,  Business Development

Dynamic Energy is seeking an experienced C&I solar executive. Reporting to the SVP, Business Development, the ideal candidate will have a background in originating energy generation business or commercial solar projects, and will be well versed in both the technical and commercial aspects of development, contracting, and execution. Preference will be given to candidates that additionally demonstrate previous experience in battery energy storage system project sales and development, as well as EV charging project sales. The targeted profile will have a proven commercial solar sales background with experience developing and closing a pipeline of distributed generation, commercial, community solar, and energy projects.

 

Qualifications:

  • Responsible for all facets of commercial energy project development including but not limited to:
  • Prospecting, developing and contracting for solar with large and mid-sized companies as well as nonprofit entities (universities, schools, municipalities).
  • Qualifying prospects, identifying decision makers, performing customer needs assessments, presenting financial options, and negotiating contract terms.
  • Coordinating with design, engineering, legal, and project management to close projects.
  • Developing personal sales goals and providing accurate forecasts.
  • Working with Dynamic’s inside sales, policy, and marketing teams to create targeted sales origination strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • 3+ years of professional C&I commercial sales experience.
  • Ability to sell in commercial enterprises (not just land and/or utility).
  • Deep knowledge of energy project economics, incentives and financing including asset purchase, operating lease, CPACE and PPA cash flows.
  • Must understand energy project development cycle and have closed commercial projects (selling $1M+ projects over 3-12 month sales cycles).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, ability to liaise with colleagues and customers at all levels; proven history developing relationships with C level executives.
  • Experience with national accounts, mid-market companies and nonprofit institutions along with the ability to deal comfortably and professionally in a wide spectrum of settings.
  • Fluency in Salesforce, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.
  • Formal training programs in sales, communication, negotiations and/or energy or related products/services preferred.
  • MBA degree (preferred) or MS (Engineering or Energy related); Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or financial discipline required.
