Project Size:
6.6 MW
Location:
Norridgewock, ME
Completion:
2022
Impact:
The 6.6 MW system is expected to generate more than 8.5 million kWh annually of clean, renewable energy.
Dynamic Energy developed, designed and built a 6.6 MW ground mount solar project in Norridgewock, Maine that will generate more than 8.5 million kilowatt hours of clean energy annually for Albertsons Shaw’s store locations throughout the Central Maine Power utility territory. The project will offset approximately 6000 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually, equivalent to the amount of carbon sequestered by 6,933 acres of forests each year.
The project was one of the first and largest commercial solar installations in Maine, and includes a landmark offtake agreement with Albertsons Companies, Inc. (NYSE: ACI). It’s also one of the largest solar assets for Albertsons Company’s renewable energy portfolio, emphasizing the company’s ongoing commitment to climate action.

Land Development
Dynamic worked with a local landowner to lease their land for solar, building a reliable and long-term source of income. Consistent with Dynamic Energy’s solar siting practices, the field underneath the panels was planted with a mix of grasses and flowers to maintain the soil quality and the ecology of the site for pollinators, further enhancing the benefits of the system.
