Job Description:
Dynamic energy is seeking a contract Construction Manager (CM) for the project length (approximately August 2019 – December 2019). The CM will be working directly with our Chief Operating Officer and Project Managers to assist in the planning and oversight of our solar photovoltaic installation projects. In this position, you will be expected to coordinate compliance efforts with local governing authorities, develop and maintain project labor plans and produce and update project drawings. The CM will serve as the quarterback for the site work and be the main point of contact with the client during the construction phase. Once assigned, the CM will remain in charge of the physical construction project from start to finish. This position requires tact, adaptability, confidence, and a high degree of customer service and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with our engineering and operations teams in the planning and execution of projects.
- Responsible for holding site safety meetings and implementing the company safety procedures.
- Responsible for onsite management of all sub-contractors and 3rd-party labor.
- Assist in the coordination of purchasing and labor needs for projects.
- Responsible for keeping a daily activity log and reporting site data to the Project Manager.
- Manage logistics and communication as required with customer, local government, and utility.
- Assist in the creation and updating of project drawings.
- Work with a smart, exciting group to help customers save money and go green!
- Additional duties required as needed.
Requirements:
We are seeking a Construction Manager who:
- Is a self-starter with strong organizational skills.
- Has demonstrated commitment to success in a previous position.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical safety hazards.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Travel up to 80% expected, based in Ridge Farm, IL.
Education, Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Entry level NABCEP certification &/or OSHA 30 HR Construction Safety Training a plus
- Previous field experience &/or internships a plus
- Responsive & customer service oriented
- Positive attitude & enthusiasm to learn
- Job Type: Contract (August through the length of the project, est. end around December 2019)
