Interconnection Manager

Jean Friend serves as Interconnection Manager at Dynamic Energy, where he works alongside the development team to ensure projects move efficiently through the utility interconnection process. Drawing on more than 10 years of solar industry experience, he supports projects across the development lifecycle and helps advance Dynamic’s growing portfolio of distributed generation and community solar projects.

Prior to joining Dynamic Energy in 2025, Jean served as Senior Project Developer at Endurance Clean Energy/ISM Solar, where he focused on bringing community solar projects online in Maine and Rhode Island. His experience spans residential, commercial, and distributed generation-scale solar projects, with expertise in project development, origination, interconnection, and asset management. Jean began his solar career in 2014 at CivicSolar, a national solar equipment distributor, where he worked as an Account Manager supporting solar developers and installers across the country.

Jean earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2013. His major qualifying project focused on designing a methanol-based fuel cell, which sparked his interest in renewable energy and ultimately led him to pursue a career in the solar industry.
