Derek Sheehan
Director, Community Solar Business Development
Derek joined the Dynamic Energy team in 2018 bringing over 10 years of experience as an early leader in community solar to develop a full service community solar business operating within the company. Derek oversees community solar subscriber acquisition, subscriber management, and supports community solar market policy and business strategy. He manages a team that is dedicated to providing community solar solutions, serving customer needs, and the transformation to renewables while bringing value to all stakeholders.
He has engaged in the early-stage development and customer acquisition of nearly 30 MW of residential and commercial community solar projects across various markets including Massachusetts, Minnesota, Colorado and New York securing over $50 million in contracted revenue. Prior to joining Dynamic Energy, Derek launched new community solar markets for Community Energy in Radnor, PA.
Derek holds a BA from Penn State University, and enjoys recording music, fly-fishing, and motorcycling.
